How did you get into barre?

My friend took me with her to class one day and I loved it immediately.

How often do you practice and where?

4-5 times per week at ZenStudio

Do you have a favorite instructor or class?

You can’t go wrong with any of the instructors at ZenStudio. Barre fire, which combines a little cardio with a regular barre workout, is fun when I want to challenge myself a little.

What move do you love most?

My favorite move is the fold over on the floor using weights, which is a great exercise for your glutes.

What is your go-to post workout snack?

After class, I enjoy going to a local juice bar for a healthy smoothie.

What changes/results can you attribute to barre?

Barre is great for me since it promotes long, lean muscles rather than adding bulk. I also play tennis and injured my ankle pretty badly a couple of years ago. Barre has helped my ankles and wrists get stronger and, as a result, helped prevent any more injuries in tennis.

Why do you recommend barre?

There are so many benefits to barre. It is a full-body workout, but is also low-impact so people of any age can do it.
